The FDA Approval of Cook Medical’s Hemospray Device

Earlier this year the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Cook Medical’s Hemostatic Spray to stop gastrointestinal bleeding. Although hemostatic sprays have been available since 2011 in Canada, Europe and other areas of the world, endoscopists (and patients) in the United States have not had this therapeutic option available. Please join us for a one-on-one conversation to hear why this was such a difficult product to move through the US regulatory process and how Cook was able to navigate the hurdles, here and abroad, to bring this product to market.
