Output Medical designs FDA registered medical devices that automate urine output measurements for critically ill patients at high risk of decreased kidney function. We initially target patients with substance use dependency who present with a drug overdose in acute care settings. The current standards rely upon manual methods of urine output measurement which are inaccurate, time consuming, and cannot trend the urine output – all of which adversely affect the quality of patient care.
